"Naseem's 5 Lesson's from the Heart," "Fun and Easy Lesson Plans," and "A to Z Herbs and Spices," and author Serena Muhammad has had a passion for science and nature from a very young age. Born in 1975 in Newark NJ and raised in Andalusia Alabama, she is the daughter of the late Dr. Abdul B. Muhammad (a psychiatrist) and Gloria Saleem Muhammad (a teacher and homemaker) and grew up in a large family of 8 children. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a background in education and a degree in sociology. Her love of science led her to become a science teacher and to found the science "edutainment" company Science Creations, where she goes by the name of her alter-ego "Dr.SBSWICTS" ("Silly But Serious When It Comes To Science"). She spends as much time outdoors as possible, enjoying hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, and spending time with family. She has two beautiful daughters,  Sadiyyah and Sajdah, a grandson named Naseem who inspired one of her books, and a cat Sadiyyah and Sajdah, a grandson named Naseem who inspired one of her books, and a cat named Ramadan.
